Staying in Faith Together

This home school group was started in the year 2022-2023.  The group as led by Cheryl Banks, (M.Ed in Administration, B.A. in Elementary Education, Special Education) has a biblical focus with preparation in accordance with the state standards.  The group of students closely resembles a one room school house, grades 1-5 with numerous extras from the support of the parents, MBCC leadership and congregation.  In addition to daily studies with math, reading and writing, an emphasis is placed on  learning Bible events, principles and the Word.  The “SIFTERS”  as they are fondly called take field trips, participate in the church’s events, plan events, engage in cooking activities, learn sewing, Spanish, hands-on science, physical education, and handwriting (calligraphy, cursive and manuscript.) to name a few.  There is a genuine peaceful atmosphere in the classroom where individuals are provided with immediate feedback and are growing up in a way that is treasured by all who work with them.
